Experience

WTVG Toledo

I currently produce the 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. newscasts for 13abc Action News in Toledo, OH. I started my television career with 13abc in April of 2012. I first gained experience as the producer of the weekend morning show and quickly learned the meaning of “action news.” Just months later I began producing a primetime newscast. I’ve also gained experience co-producing several debates and producing election night coverage.

Sun News
The Sun News produces 11 local newspapers with 258,000 weekly readers. They serve residents in the Ohio counties of Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina, and Geauga. In addition to its printed publications, the Sun also reproduces its articles online at Cleveland.com. Please see my Online Articles page for links to recent stories.

NBC’s The Today Show
One of the top national morning shows, I was privileged to complete a 3-month internship with The Today Show in New York City.  The time I spent at 30 Rock gave me valuable experience and insight to the process and delivery of news and entertainment.

WKYC-TV
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, it only seemed fitting to complete an internship with one of the local stations that inspired me to pursue a career in broadcast news.  I assisted the assignment editor and reporters on a daily basis learning interview, shooting, writing and online reporting skills.

Ohio Sports Zone
As a sports fan, Ohio Sports Zone in Athens, Ohio allowed me to spend time cheering on the Bobcats and improve my skills as a sports reporter and anchor.  One of the most valuable lessons I gained from working on Ohio Sports Zone was ad-libbing…you never know what is going to happen during a game.

Athens MidDay
As a reporter and anchor for the noon newscast on WOUB in Athens, Ohio, I gained the ability to work under a tight deadline.  I learned the pressure of completing a package, VO, web story, and blog in a 24 hour time period.  Athens MidDay also taught me the importance of social media.
